PolicyPlain (“we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we may collect when you visit our website—on US and EU/UK subdomains—and how it may be used.
Information we collect
- Log and device data. Standard web server and analytics data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and referring URL.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Essential cookies remember accessibility preferences and market region. Optional analytics/advertising cookies (including Google AdSense, when enabled) load only after consent where required.
- Communications. If you email us, we keep the message content and your email address to respond.
- On-device only. Accessibility settings and many tool scenarios are stored in your browser (localStorage) and are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly submit them later.
How we use information
To operate and improve the site, understand readership, respond to messages, honour region/accessibility preferences, and—when approved— display advertising. We do not sell personal information as a standalone product.
Advertising
After AdSense approval, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits. EU/UK visitors can choose “Essential only” in the cookie banner. You can also manage ad personalization through Google’s ad settings and browser controls.
GDPR & UK GDPR rights (EU/UK visitors)
If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you may have rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR, including to:
- Access personal data we hold about you
- Rectify inaccurate data
- Erase data in certain circumstances
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Data portability where applicable
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority
Legal bases we typically rely on: legitimate interests for operating an educational site and essential cookies; consent for optional analytics/advertising cookies; contract/legitimate interests for responding to emails you send.
International transfers. If we use US-based processors (hosting, analytics, email), we will use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) where required.
Retention. Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operations. Emails are kept while a conversation is active and for a limited archive thereafter unless you ask us to delete them.

Children
This site is not directed to children under 16 (EU/UK) or under 13 (US). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Subdomains
The same application may be served on US and EU subdomains. Region detection uses the hostname (and a preference cookie) so we can show the right market framing and cookie banner. See EU & UK markets.
